Expand your knowledge. As the Martese glides across the tranquil waters, Anishinaabe storyteller, Aaron McKay will share history and culture, using the land and water as a guide. The echoes of ancient voices, the tranquility of the lake, and a deeper understanding of the Anishinaabe worldview will stay with you long after you disembark.

Aaron McKay launched Giiwe in 2023. Giiwe is a multimedia and tourism business dedicated to supporting and elevating Indigenous throughout Canada. Through Giiwe, Aaron uses photography and storytelling to share the history of his home and his life experiences. He previously worked in his home territory of Riding Mountain National Park, and currently works as a Student Success Advisor at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon MB.
